How to set up a Geofence
Click on your vehicle in the devices menu.

This takes you to the devices page.

To setup a Geofence at the vehicles location, click on the earth symbol
, which is next to the Location information.
This takes you to the following screen.

Name – The name of the company.
Radius – The default is 50 (metres), but this depends on the size of the company’s premises.
Place marker – This will display a grey circle if you tick the box, and no circle if you do not. It also will not display the name of the geofence when the vehicle is in the area if it is not ticked.
The reason for not ticking the box is if you wish to set an alarm on that area but do not want general users of the system to know you are doing it.
Then click on device association.

The default is “All devices in all groups”.
Then click on Create geofence.

This screen gives you an overview of the new geofence. You can move the geofence around if it is not quite in the right place by using the nudge arrows.
To complete the geofence creation click on the Devices tab.
Please note the geofence will not display on the Devices page until the unit next updates.
Setting up a New User
To setup a user click on the administration tab, and it will take you to the following screen.

Then click on Users, and you will be taken to a screen that displays all the current users of the system. To setup a user click on “Create a new user.”

To setup the user enter the following:
E-Mail* – For the user ID to work properly on the system this needs to be a live email address. If it is not a correct email address the user will not be able to receive alerts or scheduled reports.
First Name* – This is so that you can see who is logged onto the system.
Last Name* – See above.
Role* – There are three different levels:
- User – Basic access to the system.
- Super User – Manager access to the system.
- Reseller – Full access to the system, provides user with administration rights, usually restricted to Dealers and above.
SMS Number – By putting in the users mobile they can receive alerts to their phone. Please note that for the mobile to work it must start with +44 instead of 0.
Initial Password* – This has to be a minimum of 7 characters.

The devices are not showing their current position, but are showing as live?
This is because on the devices page, under “Group View” it is set as “Last moving” instead of “Summary.” Please note that this only alters the specific users settings.
I would like a specific feature added to the system.
One of the greatest strengths of the Foretrack system is the flexibility to add features to the system. If you would like to see a new feature added to the system please click on the support tab and go to the feature request section. This will allow you to detail your requirements and send it directly to our web development team.
Please note that although we endeavour to take everybody’s requests on board the system is used by a wide and diverse range of companies and the impact of a new feature may be detrimental to others. We may not be able to add every feature that you request but we will try to implement it in some format or other, or provide you with an alternative solution.
I cannot delete a unit off of the system?
We have streamlined the unit deletion system, taking into account the issues, which have arisen for many of our customers over billing and put the follow system into place.
If you wish to remove a unit from the system please email: jon.purdue@foresolutions.co.uk with the details of the company, group and IMEI of the unit. This will then be processed, any outstanding data charged and then you will be advised of the unit’s removal by email.
My portable Ocellus S100 unit will not charge?
The 3-pin adaptor needs to be fully pushed in and flush with the charger. If it is not the unit will not charge.
I cannot change the name of a device.
This feature is only available if you have reseller access, if you do not have this level of access please contact our technical support line on 02380 718726 and we will be pleased to alter the name of the device for you.
